Job summary
Environmental Air Systems in Raleigh, NC seeks a skilled sheet metal installer with at least five years of experience to install and layout HVAC ductwork. You will read ductwork and architectural drawings, perform quality control, and coordinate with other trades while following safety policies.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate cranes or forklifts as needed; adherence to safety and standards is essential for success in this role.
Qualifications
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- At least five years of sheet metal experience.
- Must adhere to safety policies and regulations.
- Able to read ductwork and architectural drawings.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- OSHA 10 certification obtained within the last 5 years.
- Operate with cranes, boom trucks, lulls and forklifts safely.
- Welding and fabrication of supports for equipment.
- Knowledge of air flow: supply, return, exhaust.
- Quality control per manufacturers' instructions.
- Collaborate with other trades professionally.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC duct systems according to plans.
- Lay out ductwork and fittings for efficient installation.
- Perform quality checks per specs and drawings.
- Coordinate with other trades to resolve conflicts.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions on site.
- Read and interpret ductwork and architectural drawings.
- Operate cranes and heavy equipment safely.
