Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sheet Metal Estimator on the West Coast to support duct fabrication estimates for HVAC projects. You will read plans, quantify materials and labor, and prepare clear estimate worksheets for bids while coordinating with fabrication, PM, and field teams.

Ideal candidates have 0–2 years in construction, basic Bluebeam and Excel skills, and a desire to learn advanced estimating platforms. Competitive benefits, PTO and 401(k) with match are offered.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years in construction (internships, shop/field time, design/drafting, or estimating all count).
• Beginner proficiency with Bluebeam and Excel; exposure to any MEP/sheet-metal estimating tool is a plus.
• Strong communication and a curiosity about how things are made; ability to read drawings and tighten assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Read plans/specs, quantify materials and labor, and build clean ductwork estimate worksheets.
• Contribute to live bids with senior estimator review; assist in scopes, alternates, and inclusions/exclusions.
• Partner with fabrication, PM, and field to validate production hours and logistics for accurate estimates.
• Use Bluebeam and Excel; exposure to leading sheet-metal estimating platforms training will be provided.
