The Kentucky Horse Park is located at 4089 Iron Works Pkwy, Lexington, KY 40511. The Kentucky Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet seeks a KHP HVAC Service Technician to manage a major program branch responsible for maintenance, project management, and mechanical upkeep.

Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, teamwork spirit, and motivation to complete tasks efficiently. Position offers full-time hours with potential overtime in the Executive Branch.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Formal training substituting experience allowed on a year-for-year basis.
• Incumbents must lift heavy objects, bend, stoop and have good manual and finger dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the repair of down equipment including HVAC and other systems.
• Plans work in the Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Branch.
• Monitors the Automated Logic system for alarms and responds accordingly.
• Checks and assigns work orders for repairs and operations of equipment.
• Supervises and inspects contractor work in Mechanical Maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
