Job summary

Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Technician II at the Lexington facility. The role leads maintenance and operation of designated systems and equipment, ensuring safety and reliability for a new medical facility.

Qualifications

Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

Inspects assigned area projecting maintenance needs in consultation with the appropriate department heads.
Performs all preventative maintenance for their assigned work area and coordinates work with other skilled trade areas (plumbers, electricians, etc.).
Inspects equipment and responsible for determining equipment needs and order parts as needed.
Supervises the support teams that perform work within assigned area.
Prepares reports and ensures documentation as needed.
