Commonwealth of Kentucky's Tourism, Arts, & Heritage Cabinet at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY seeks a KHP HVAC Service Technician (Non-Merit). This role manages a major program branch in the maintenance of buildings, facilities, project management, and mechanical maintenance.

The ideal candidate has two years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems, and works well in a team. The position may involve overtime and requires a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
• Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Incumbents working in this job title may be required to lift heavy objects and have good manual and finger dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the repair of down equipment including, but not limited to, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC repairs
• Plans work in the Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Branch
• Daily watches the Automated Logic system looking for and responding to equipment alarms
• Checks and assigns work orders pertaining to repairs and operations of equipment
• Supervises and inspects the work of contractors in Mechanical Maintenance
• Other duties as assigned or needed

We are currently seeking applications for a KHP HVAC Service Technician. This position will manage a majorprogram branch in the maintenance of buildings, facilities, project management, and mechanical maintenance.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong work ethic, work well with a team and be highlymotivated to get the job done.
