Job summary

NorthStar Hiring Partners is seeking a dependable HVAC Service Technician to join our Middle Georgia team serving residential and light commercial customers in Macon, Warner Robins, Perry and surrounding areas.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate clearly with customers. EPA 608 certification and a valid driver's license are required, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years HVAC experience preferred; candidates with relevant training will be considered.
• Working knowledge of residential heating and cooling systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical components, refrigerant systems, and HVAC troubleshooting.
• EPA Section 608 certification, or ability to obtain it before handling regulated refrigerants.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for company vehicle operation.
• Ability to work independently, manage service calls, and communicate effectively with customers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with HVAC service work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
• Inspect and service air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, thermostats, and related components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, airflow, and refrigerant issues.
• Identify equipment problems and recommend repairs or replacements.
• Perform system inspections and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Follow company procedures and applicable safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly care for tools and equipment.
• Work independently and collaborate with team members to complete service calls.
