Job summary

SilverBack is seeking experienced HVAC Service Technicians (2+ to 5+ years) to perform service, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance on commercial HVAC systems and critical facilities across Texas.

We offer opportunities for seasoned mentors or mid-level technicians, with competitive hourly contractor rates and overtime (1.5x). EPA certification and HS diploma required; willingness to work overtime and some travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on commercial HVAC service experience; 5+ years for seniors.
• EPA certification required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the direct contact for field service, testing, maintenance, start-up and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including Split Systems, Packaged Systems, DX Systems, VRFs, Chillers and Pumps.
• Work with blueprints, engineering specifications and handheld diagnostics to propose retrofits or upgrades.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys and equipment modifications.
• Maintain safety standards, equipment security and customer satisfaction.
