Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Great Falls, MT. You will service and repair large commercial systems such as air handlers, boilers, and chillers, while engaging with customers on-site and preparing repair estimates.

This role offers a take-home 4WD company vehicle, tools provided, and a Monday–Friday schedule with occasional 4x10s. On-call rotation every ~8 weeks, servicing schools and offices within ~30 miles.

Qualifications

• Commercial HVAC/HVACR service experience (not residential).
• Able to troubleshoot and repair large commercial equipment (air handlers, boilers, chillers).
• Capable of communicating with customers and providing cost/repair estimates on-site.

Responsibilities

COMMERCIAL HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Great Falls, Montana

THE BASICS

Location: Great Falls, Montana

Pay: $40-48/hr

Service Area: ~30-mile radius from Great Falls (some flexibility beyond that)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm typical (occasional 4x10 days during busy stretches)

On-Call: Rotates roughly once every 8 weeks; on-call techs are expected to respond and drive when called

Reports To: Service Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Service and repair commercial HVAC equipment - large air handlers, boilers, chillers, and related systems
• Work on commercial building accounts including schools and business offices (light healthcare mix)
• Report to the Great Falls office most days before heading out to job sites
• Talk directly with customers on-site, including putting together estimates and cost breakdowns for repairs - this isn't just a wrench-turning role
• Take home a company vehicle and rotate into the on-call schedule

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

• Commercial HVAC/HVACR service experience (not primarily residential)
• Comfortable troubleshooting and repairing larger commercial equipment - air handlers, boilers, chillers
• Able to communicate with customers and provide cost/repair estimates on-site
• Valid driver's license and clean-enough driving record to pass an MVR check
• Willing and able to pass a background check and drug screen (required for state/federal and school-site work)Willing to participate in the on-call rotation

Nice to Have (not required):

• Refrigeration experience (walk-ins, freezers, reach-ins) - transfers well even if not a direct match
• Experience with building management systems or digital controls
