Job summary

Lex Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing, and Electrical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.

You will diagnose and service rooftop units, package units, refrigeration systems, and BAS, read electrical schematics, follow safety procedures, and maintain accurate service records.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of commercial HVAC experience required.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal) required.
• TDLR certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with RTUs, package units, and commercial refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, package units, chillers, and boilers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Conduct refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, recovery, and charging per EPA rules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
• Communicate clearly with customers about conditions and repairs.
• Follow safety procedures, codes, and company policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, experience working on a variety of commercial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, recovery, and charging in accordance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system conditions and recommended repairs.
• Follow all safety procedures, local codes, and company policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

Qualifications

Work Environment

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodation may be made to perform essential functions.
