Job summary

Lex Air Conditioning, Heating, Plumbing, and Electrical is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC systems. The role covers rooftop units, chillers, boilers and related equipment with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

The candidate will work in field environments across commercial sites in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, performing preventive maintenance, reading schematics, and communicating system conditions to customers.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with RTUs, package units, and commercial refrigeration.
• EPA Section 608 Certification required (Universal).
• TDLR (Preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues.
• Perform refrigerant diagnostics, leak detection, recovery, and charging in accordance with EPA regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding system conditions and recommended repairs.
• Follow all safety procedures, local codes, and company policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic abilities, experience working on a variety of commercial equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on commercial equipment.

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Pay Range

$100,000 - $150,000 USD
