Job summary

RK Industries in Salt Lake City, UT seeks an HVAC Service Technician to install, diagnose, repair, and optimize commercial HVAC systems. You will work on RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment, ensuring reliability for our clients.

Prepare to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues; read schematics; perform preventative maintenance and emergency responses; and collaborate with project teams. DOE pay, benefits, and a company vehicle accompany this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with RTUs, boilers, AHUs, and related equipment.
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling components.
• EPA Universal Certification or other HVAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime.
• Document service work, findings, and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with facility managers, engineers, and project teams.

You'll troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and optimize a wide range of equipment while working with the resources of a fully integrated mechanical contractor.

What You'll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues

• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control

What You Bring

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with equipment such as RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, VFDs, automation systems, and/or chillers
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications
