Job summary

RK Industries, LLC in Kentucky is seeking a skilled HVAC service technician to diagnose, repair, and optimize a wide range of commercial systems. You will service RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and related equipment, performing preventive maintenance and responding to emergencies to minimize downtime.

You will read blueprints and control schematics, troubleshoot buildings’ mechanical and electrical systems, and work with facility managers and project teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with RTUs, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, chillers, and related equipment.
• EPA Universal Certification or equivalent HVAC certifications.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime.
• Document service work, findings, and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes.

What You’ll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems

What You Bring

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with equipment such as RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, VFDs, automation systems, and/or chillers
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications
