Job summary

RK Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service, repair, and optimize commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, and VAVs. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues, perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, and document findings.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience is required.
• EPA Universal Certification or other HVAC certifications is required.
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, exhaust).
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Respond to emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
• Document service work and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local codes.

What You'll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize customer downtime
• Document service work, findings, and repair recommendations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes
• Communicate effectively with facility managers, engineers, and project teams

What You Bring

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with equipment such as RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, VFDs, automation systems, and/or chillers
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications
