Job summary

RK Industries is seeking an HVAC Projects Installer to install, retrofit, replace, start up, and service complex commercial systems on diverse projects. You will collaborate with Project Managers and Service Technicians, leveraging RK's integrated resources to build your expertise in challenging HVAC environments.

Bring 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience, the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, strong safety knowledge, and EPA 608 certification.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation or service experience.
• Experience with RTUs, boilers, AHUs, MAUs, pumps, and related systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety codes and EPA 608 Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Install, retrofit, replace, start up, and service commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform startups, testing, commissioning, and checks per project specs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues.
• Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and control schematics.
• Support inspections, resolve deficiencies, and complete startup and project records.

What You'll Do

Install, retrofit, replace, start up, and service commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs, boilers, split systems, AHUs, MAUs, pumps, fans, chillers, and related equipment.

• Conduct startups, testing, commissioning, and operational checks; confirm compliance with project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls issues; perform preventive maintenance, inspections, quality control, and system checks.
• Interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Support inspections, resolve deficiencies, punch-list items, and callbacks, and complete required startup, service, and project records.
• Communicate status, field conditions, and technical findings; identify service, retrofit, replacement, and repair opportunities; maintain a safe, clean, professional worksite.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience in installation, service, retrofits, or replacements.
• Experience with RTUs, boilers, split systems, AHUs, MAUs, pumps, fans, chillers, cooling towers, VFDs, or related systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment documents.
• Knowledge of mechanical codes, OSHA requirements, and safe work practices; EPA 608 Universal Certification.
