Job summary

RK Industries is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service and repair commercial HVAC systems across a range of equipment, including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems. You will diagnose issues, troubleshoot controls, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

This role requires 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience and EPA Universal Certification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components.
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize customer downtime.
• Document service work, findings, and repair recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes.
• Communicate effectively with facility managers, engineers, and project teams.

What You'll Do

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with equipment such as RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, VFDs, automation systems, and/or chillers
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications
