Job summary

Hiller Heating and AC in Murfreesboro, TN is seeking an experienced HVAC technician to perform thorough inspections, repairs and replacements in residential settings. You will diagnose problems, communicate with customers, and prepare parts for service days.

With 3–5 years of verifiable HVAC experience, you will mentor apprentices and uphold safety and quality standards. A valid driver’s license and EPA/NATE certifications are preferred; we offer competitive pay, benefits and paid training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years verifiable HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of residential HVAC operation and systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical and duct systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections.
• Perform repairs and replacements to applicable codes.
• Facilitate parts orders and prep for the day of service.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or designated purchasing team.
• Communicate with customers regarding questions, concerns and problems.
• Train, coach and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection
• Perform all HVAC repairs and replacements to applicable codes.
• Facilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or other designated purchasing team administrators.
• Effectively communicate with the customer regarding questions, concerns and problems.
• Train, coach and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and associates at all times.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• EPA Certified.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
• Valid driver’s license
• $25 - $35 an hour
• Applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment drug screens and background checks.
