Job summary

Hiller Heating and AC is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician for Birmingham, AL. You will inspect and repair residential HVAC systems, ensuring work meets code requirements and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include 3–5 years in HVAC, EPA certification and a HS diploma/GED. NATE or HVAC certification is preferred. Compensation ranges from $22 to $28 per hour with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of verifiable HVAC experience.
• Knowledge of residential HVAC systems; ability to troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, and duct issues.
• EPA certification and a HS diploma or GED are required.
• NATE or HVAC diploma/certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection.
• Perform all HVAC repairs and replacements to applicable codes.
• Facilitate orders for all parts and ensure readiness for the service day.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or designated purchasing team.
• Effectively communicate with customers about questions, concerns and problems.
• Train, coach and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and coworkers.

Job Responsibilities

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry.

• Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Education/Certification Requirements

• EPA Certified.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
• $22 - $28 an hour
