Job summary

Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical in Memphis, TN is seeking a skilled HVAC technician to perform thorough inspections, repairs, and replacements to code, and to manage parts orders for service visits.

The role requires 3–5 years HVAC experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license; NATE or HVAC diploma preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and year-round work.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of residential A/C, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections.
• Repair and replace HVAC components to code.
• Order parts and coordinate with dispatch for service days.
• Submit purchase orders to designated staff.
• Communicate with customers regarding questions and problems.
• Train, coach and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain courtesy with customers and colleagues.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform a thorough and accurate HVAC inspection
• Perform all HVAC repairs and replacements to applicable codes.
• Facilitate order for all parts required for appointments and ensure preparedness for the day of service.
• Submit purchase orders to dispatch or other designated purchasing team administrators.
• Effectively communicate with the customer regarding questions, concerns and problems.
• Train, coach and mentor apprentices.
• Maintain a courteous demeanor with customers and associates at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Have a minimum of 3to 5 years of verifiable work experience in the HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of the fundamental operational functionality of residential air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment.
• Able to troubleshoot problems with refrigerant, electrical, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

Requirements

• EPA Certified.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• NATE Certification preferred.
• HVAC certification or Diploma preferred.
• Valid driver’s license

$18 - $27 an hour
