Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling in Indiana is seeking a Residential HVAC Technician to service and repair home heating and cooling systems, diagnose issues, quote needed repairs, and deliver excellent customer service on every call. You will work hands-on, assist on-call rotations, install IAQ products, and continuously expand your knowledge through training.

Qualifications

• EPA certified Residential HVAC Technicians with experience in residential service and sales.
• Ability to determine residential HVAC service needs, quote prices, and perform repairs.
• Interact and communicate well with customers in homes and businesses.
• Understand residential heating and cooling equipment operation, IAQ, air distribution systems and basic repairs.
• Attend training to expand knowledge and pursue further certifications.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems and install supporting IAQ products per specifications and codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead; climb ladders; use hand and power tools.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Be thorough in inspections, and accurate in quoting replacements or repairs.
• Complete proposed work as quoted.
• Participate in on-call assignments and back-up as required.

Qualifications

• Attend training to expand knowledge base and areas of expertise and further certifications expected.
• All interested candidates must currently be able to learn to troubleshoot and repair a variety of residential HVAC systems as well as install supporting IAQ products according to manufacturer's specifications and applicable codes.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.
