Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking a Lead Installer to head installation projects from start to finish, guide helpers, ensure quality work, and uphold safety on site. You will communicate professionally with customers and staff, participate in mandatory trainings, promote a neat, efficient work environment, and drive timely, high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 100 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• Must be able to braze and solder equipment as needed.
• Drug testing, background checks and valid driver's license are conditions of employment.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, office staff and coworkers.
• Participate in all required staff meetings and training sessions.
• Promote a professional, and friendly work environment with a positive attitude.
• Work hard, smart and efficiently.
• Follow the outline of company policies and procedures.
• Wear floor savers and use drop cloths to protect client floors; maintain a neat work area.
• Re-check installations before leaving; use the Installation Excellence Form for re-checking.
• Explain the system to the client on completion and ensure 100% satisfaction.
• Maintain safety for the job and while driving; supervise the assistant installer.
• Meet production minimums and plan-driven targets; perform full system change-outs timely.
• Keep trucks clean inside and out; adhere to all company policies and codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Always explain the system to the client when finished with an installation and make sure that they are 100% satisfied with the work.
• Always be safety conscious both on the job and while driving, and make sure that the assistant installer is also working safely and neatly.
• Maintain a production level minimum as determined by management and the annual plan.
• Perform full system change-outs in a timely fashion as determined by the manager.
• Keep trucks neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times.
• Must adhere to all company policies and codes when performing installation jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.
