Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and provide leadership when situations require it.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers.
• Maintain cooling towers, pumps, boilers, AHUs, and split systems.
• Document service activities and resolutions in company software; obtain customer approvals.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and Service Coordinator; participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and stocked inventory for efficient service calls.

Compensation

$35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, technical ability, and overall job performance.

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


• One-hour lunch break


• Participation in a rotating emergency on-call program


• Occasional evening and weekend work to support customer needs

Position Summary

The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, accurate documentation, and effective communication with both customers and internal personnel.

• Evaluate equipment performance and provide recommendations regarding repair or replacement options




• Identify required replacement components and obtain manufacturer-approved repair information




• Explain technical findings and recommended solutions clearly to customers and team members




• Take part in the company's rotating emergency service schedule




• Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and stocked inventory in a clean and professional condition




• Complete all service-related records using company software systems, including:

  • Service details and resolution codes
  
  
  • Equipment information
  
  
  • Customer approval signatures
  
  



• Maintain regular communication with the Service Manager and Service Coordinator




• Utilize tablets, iPads, and computer-based programs to document work performed and service results

Minimum Requirements

• At least three years of commercial HVAC service experience with verifiable references

• Ability and willingness to travel as needed for service calls
