Russo Bros. & Co. is seeking experienced Residential HVAC Service Technicians to join our team in East Hanover, NJ. We offer competitive hourly pay and weekly bonus opportunities, with two schedule options to provide weekdays off while maintaining a five-day workweek.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, serving, and repairing residential HVAC systems, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining proper documentation. Training and certifications support are available as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service and/or installation experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and service/installation phases.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to homeowners.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to complete service documentation and follow reporting standards.
• Commitment to safety procedures and processes.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

• Participate in ongoing technical and professional training.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications; company can assist with additional certifications.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance.

We offer competitive hourly pay of $30–$45/hour based on experience, plus the opportunity to earn weekly bonuses. We are currently hiring for both Tuesday–Saturday and Sunday–Thursday schedules—giving you the opportunity to build a schedule that provides weekdays off while still maintaining a consistent five-day workweek.

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Perform thorough and accurate HVAC inspections and clearly communicate findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience while resolving technical issues efficiently and professionally.
• Maintain regular communication with Dispatch, your manager, Parts, and Installation teams.
• Complete service documentation, invoices, and required reporting accurately and on time.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and properly stocked company vehicle.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices while working in the field.
• Participate in ongoing technical and professional training.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications; we can assist with additional certifications as needed.
• Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of residential HVAC service and/or installation experience required.
• Strong knowledge of residential HVAC systems and the different phases of HVAC service and installation.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC equipment.
• Ability to explain technical issues and available solutions clearly to homeowners.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform thorough HVAC inspections and make appropriate recommendations based on findings.
• Ability to accurately complete service documentation and follow company reporting standards.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and established processes.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with ServiceTitan is preferred.
• Additional plumbing or electrical trade experience is a plus.

Schedule

We are currently looking for technicians interested in one of the following consistent schedules:

• Tuesday–Saturday
• Sunday–Thursday

These schedules provide two consecutive days off each week, including weekdays that can make appointments, errands, and personal commitments easier to manage.

Compensation

$30.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, plus weekly bonus opportunities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in residential homes and exterior customer environments.
• Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform the physical duties required of a residential HVAC Service Technician.
