Cranney Home Services seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our residential service team. Diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, and boilers while clearly explaining options to homeowners.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification is required.
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License preferred or ability to obtain.
• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems (furnaces, ACs, boilers).
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and system evaluations with accuracy and efficiency.
• Explain system performance and maintenance options to homeowners.
• Test piping, joints, and connections for leaks.
• Test electrical circuits and components with diagnostic gear.
• Verify repairs by testing equipment and ensuring safe operation.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and build homeowner trust.

Compensation

Choose the schedule that works best for you:

• Monday–Friday: $30–$38/hour + Weekly Performance Bonuses (DOE)
• Tuesday–Saturday: $32–$40/hour + Weekly Performance Bonuses (DOE) (Higher-Paying Shift)

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and boilers
• Perform repairs, maintenance, and system evaluations with accuracy and efficiency
• Clearly explain system performance, repair recommendations, and maintenance options to homeowners
• Test piping, tubing, joints, and connections for leaks using appropriate diagnostic methods
• Test electrical circuits and components using electrical diagnostic equipment
• Verify repairs by testing equipment and ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently
• Deliver exceptional customer service while building trust and confidence with every homeowner

• Consistently exceed weekly and monthly performance goals
• Maintain 15% or greater sold-hours efficiency
• Achieve a 45% or higher conversion rate
• Deliver quality workmanship with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Maintain high overall performance through professionalism, technical excellence, and reliability

Requirements

Qualifications

• EPA Certification (Required)
• Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License preferred (or ability to obtain, if applicable)
• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience preferred
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for furnaces, air conditioners, boilers, and heat pumps
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to explain technical information in a clear and professional manner
• Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre-employment drug screen
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to quality
