Job summary

Cranney Home Services in Danvers, MA is seeking an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to grow with our residential installation team. Lead the installation of heating and cooling systems, install and replace equipment to spec, perform tests, troubleshoot and ensure safety and customer satisfaction on every project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of residential HVAC systems, including new construction and replacement systems.
• Install and replace heating and cooling equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Evaluate HVAC systems and recommend solutions based on customer needs.
• Perform system testing, including leak checks, electrical testing, and equipment verification.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC components, wiring, and equipment when needed.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
• Ensure every installation meets safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.

• $35-$45 per hour, based on experience

What You'll Do

• Lead the installation of residential HVAC systems, including new construction and replacement systems
• Install and replace heating and cooling equipment according to company standards and manufacturer specifications
• Evaluate HVAC systems and recommend solutions based on customer needs
• Perform system testing, including leak checks, electrical testing, and equipment verification
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC components, wiring, and equipment when needed
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
• Ensure every installation meets safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards

• Deliver quality installations with minimal to no customer callbacks
• Continuously improve technical skills through training and certifications

Requirements

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC installation experience required
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Experience with FHW, boiler, and steam systems is a plus
• NATE Certification is a plus
• Sheet Metal License is a plus
• Electrical experience required
• Hot Work Certification preferredOSHA 10 Certification or higher preferred
• Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices and local codes
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently while leading installation projects
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and pre-employment drug screen
• Must provide your own hand tools
