Job summary

TP Mechanical, LLC. is seeking an experienced Service Technician to perform daily HVAC service work on heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. The role requires reading blueprints, clear communication, and representing the company professionally.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years in commercial plumbing/HVAC/refrigeration, EPA or Universal License, and OSHA 10. Valid driver’s license and own basic tools are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8-10 years of commercial plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration experience.
• EPA or Universal License required.
• High School diploma or GED; trade school is a plus.
• OSHA 10 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot HVAC rooftop units, make up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems.
• Follows up with customers to ensure 100% satisfaction.
• Acts as senior technical support for other service techs.
• Attends job site and office meetings as needed.
• Work in emergency situations when called.
• All other duties as assigned.

Responsible for reading and understand blueprints, effective communication with all others, and representing TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.

Responsible for daily Service work. Service Technician position will work on HVAC heating, cooling, boiler, chiller, and refrigeration systems. Responsible for reading and understand blueprints, effective communication with all others, and representing TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Troubleshoot and solve HVAC rooftop units, make up air, boiler, chiller, and control system problems. VRF system knowledge is a plus.
• Follows up with customers for quality assurance purposes and ensures customers are 100% satisfied.
• Acts as the senior technical support for other Service Techs. Can answer most technical questions and help with almost any issue.
• Attends, if needed, all job site and office meetings related to assigned projects. Is well prepared to handle issues that may come up.
• Dependable and able to work in emergency situations when called.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

Experience/Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of commercial experience in plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration.
• Stable work history.
• EPA or Universal License.
• HVAC chiller and boiler certifications are a plus.

Job Skills

• Ability to read blueprints.
• HVAC and refrigeration repair and installation.
• Working knowledge of all hand and power tools.
• Able to use all specialty tools including Recovery Machine, Multi Meter, Combustion Analysis.
• Control experience a plus.
• Able to install equipment.
• Very strong technical background.
• Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy and productivity.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to manage, lead, motivate and discipline.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Education

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Trade School a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Eyesight correctable to 20/50.
• Able to work long hours on feet.
• Able to lift and climb ladders and scaffolds.
• Able to perform shift work.
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Must not be afraid of heights.

Special Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must provide their own basic hand tools.
