Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician II to service commercial and industrial equipment in Washington DC / Bowie, MD. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and support a variety of equipment including rooftops, chillers, boilers, and water source heat pumps.

Training available to work with senior technicians. You will lead Level I technicians, document service activity, and communicate clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; HVAC certification preferred.
• 3+ years of HVAC experience; valid driver’s license.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred; OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging machines, cleaning coils, brushing tubes, replacing filters, belts and proper lubrication.
• Repair and replacement of defective equipment, components, or wiring related to fan coils, water source heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops, cooling towers and condensers.
• Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns.
• Perform warranty service applications by inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality.
• Direct Level I technicians through hands-on demonstrations to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports promptly.
• Interact with customers by offering status reports before, during, and after each call.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in available training and maintain required certifications.
