Job summary

Veteran Air is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead a high-volume service department in South Florida. You will supervise technicians, schedule workloads, hire and train staff, and drive sales while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in residential HVAC with management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of technicians.
• Strong diagnostic skills on residential and light commercial equipment.
• Ability to train technical diagnostic techniques across equipment ranges.
• Positive attitude, high energy, and sales drive.
• Strong communication skills with customers and staff.
• Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Adobe).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background/drug screens.

Responsibilities

• Daily management of a high-volume service department and staff.
• Evaluate workload and schedule to optimize technician utilization.
• Hire, lead, and train a team of techs on technical and sales knowledge.
• Teach sales techniques and new repair methods.
• Provide excellent customer service and coordinate with office, sales, and field staff.
• Report on team performance and productivity.
• Document all calls and jobs per company requirements.
• Stay up to date on current technologies and products.

What YOU will bring:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in residential HVAC, with a preference for management experience
• Demonstrated ability in organizational leadership to effectively lead and develop a team of technicians.
• Strong technical background in diagnostic skills on all residential and light commercial equipment.
• Ability to train proper technical diagnostic techniques on all equipment from basic to high efficiency inverter systems.
• Positive attitude, high energy, excellent communication skills, and a strong drive for sales.
• Strong computer skills (word, excel, adobe, etc.)
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to pass background test and drug screen.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and work outdoors

What YOU will do:

• Daily management of high-volume service department, HVAC service technicians and staff
• Evaluate workload and schedule of service work in a way that best utilizes service technicians.
• Hire, lead, and train a team of techs on technical and sales knowledge.
• Knowledgeable on how to teach sales and new techniques.
• Provide excellent customer service; be able to communicate with customer, office staff, sales department, and field help.
• Report on team performance.
• Properly and efficiently document all calls/jobs to the company's requirements
• Stay up to date on current technologies and new products in the field

Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000+/yearly
