  • Additional earning opportunities as department performance and company growth increase.

This position is designed to reward results.

As the Service Department becomes more productive, more efficient, and more profitable, your compensation has the ability to increase with it.

Performance dictates earnings.

For a high-performing individual who can successfully develop the department, this position offers significant long-term earning potential.

Our Company

Logicool Air Solutions is a growing, customer-focused HVAC company committed to exceptional workmanship, operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

We are actively building stronger systems, improving our technology, developing our employees, tracking performance, and creating advancement opportunities for people who are capable of taking on greater responsibility.

We are looking for someone who wants more than another HVAC job.

We want someone who wants to build and lead an exceptional Service Department.

This May Be the Next Step in Your HVAC Career:

You do not necessarily need to have spent years sitting behind a Service Manager's desk to be successful in this position.

A highly experienced technician can be an excellent candidate if you have:
  • Strong technical HVAC knowledge.
  • Natural leadership ability.
  • The respect of other technicians.
  • Strong customer communication skills.
  • The ability to teach instead of simply doing the work yourself.
  • An understanding of how technicians should perform in the field
  • Strong personal accountability.
  • An interest in learning the operational and financial side of the business.
  • The desire to move beyond turning tools every day and into a long-term leadership career.

For the right technician, this position can be the transition from being responsible for your own truck and your own production to becoming responsible for the performance of an entire department.

Requirements
  • Extensive residential HVAC service experience.
  • Strong HVAC diagnostic and technical knowledge.
  • Service management, field supervision, lead technician, or senior technician experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence other technicians.
  • Ability to coach, train, and hold employees accountable.
  • Strong understanding of the complete residential HVAC service-call process.
  • Ability and willingness to learn departmental financials and KPIs.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult customer and employee situations professionally.

  • Experience with HVAC CRM/service software preferred.
  • Housecall Pro experience is a plus.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Clean driving record and background.
  • Drug‑free workplace.
Responsibilities

  • Track technician productivity, revenue, average tickets, conversion rates, callbacks, and departmental KPIs.
  • Understand where revenue and profitability are being gained or lost.
  • Coach and develop technicians through training, ride-alongs, job reviews, and one‑on‑one discussions.
  • Ensure technicians follow company procedures for diagnostics, documentation, photographs, estimates, invoices, collections, and customer communication.
  • Improve technician technical ability, communication skills, efficiency, and ethical sales performance.
  • Monitor $0 calls, missed opportunities, estimates, repair conversions, memberships, accessory sales, and average ticket.
  • Review technician drive time, idle time, time on jobs, and overall productivity.
  • Identify underperformance quickly and establish corrective action when needed.
  • Review callbacks and determine the root cause to prevent repeat problems.
  • Maintain strong quality‑control standards.
  • Support technicians with difficult diagnostics and technical situations.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns professionally.
  • Work with CSRs and dispatch personnel to ensure technicians are scheduled, dispatched, and supported effectively.
  • Help ensure the right technician is being placed on the right service call.
  • Improve departmental systems, processes, training, and accountability.
  • Report directly to the Owner regarding departmental performance, challenges, opportunities, and results.
Your Job Is to Develop Technicians — Not Become Their Backup Technician

The Service Manager must be technically capable, but this is not intended to be a full‑time production technician position.

Your Field Time Should Primarily Be Used To
  • Conduct technician ride‑alongs.
  • Train technicians.
  • Coach performance.
  • Assist with difficult diagnostics.
  • Perform quality‑control checks.
  • Reinforce company standards.
  • Develop struggling technicians.
  • Help technicians become more independent and capable.

A major transition for a technician entering this role is understanding that your success is no longer measured primarily by what you personally produce.

Your success will increasingly be measured by what your team produces.

The goal is not to become the person every technician depends on.

The goal is to develop a team of technicians who can consistently perform without needing constant assistance.

You Must Know Your Numbers

Logicool Air Solutions is building a data‑driven management culture.

The Service Manager will be expected to understand and actively manage numbers including:

  • Service revenue.
  • Department profitability.
  • Revenue per technician.
  • Calls per technician.
  • Average ticket.
  • Estimate conversion.
  • Repair conversion.
  • $0 calls.
  • Membership sales.
  • Accessory sales.
  • Callbacks.
  • Technician productivity.
  • Drive time.
  • Customer reviews.
  • Documentation compliance.
  • Labor efficiency.

You do not need to walk into the position knowing every financial metric on day one.

You do need to have the ability and desire to learn them.

We are looking for someone who wants to understand not only how to fix HVAC equipment, but how to operate a profitable HVAC Service Department.

What We Offer
  • Competitive base compensation.
  • Significant performance‑based earning potential.
  • Compensation tied directly to the success of the department you lead
  • Full health benefits.
  • Paid holidays.
  • Continuing education and management development.
  • Direct access to and mentorship from company ownership.
  • Opportunity to transition from field technician into senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence company systems and operations.
  • Major advancement opportunities as Logicool Air Solutions grows.
  • Opportunity to build, develop, and lead your own high‑performing service team.
The Person We Want
  • We are looking for someone who takes ownership.
  • Someone who sees a technician struggling and wants to make them better.
  • Someone who sees an inefficient process and wants to fix it.
  • Someone who understands that technical ability alone does not create a great Service Department.
You Must Be Able To Determine
  • Who is performing?
  • Who needs help?
  • Where are we losing money?
  • Where are opportunities being missed?
  • Are our technicians giving customers the experience we expect?
  • What needs to change?
  • How do we make the team better tomorrow than it was today?
  • If you are already an experienced Service Manager, we want to hear about the departments you have led and the results you have produced.
  • If you are a high‑performing senior technician who knows you are capable of more than running service calls for the rest of your career, we want to hear from you too.

This could be your opportunity to move from technician to leader, learn the business side of HVAC, build your own department, and significantly increase your long‑term earning potential.
