Job summary

AMG Contractors in Austin, TX seeks an experienced HVAC Service Manager to lead our service team and deliver top-tier solutions. You will mentor technicians, ensure safety and code compliance, and manage dispatch and budgets.

A valid class B TDLR license and EPA 608 certification are required; NATE certification is a plus. The role includes base pay plus commission in a fast-paced operation with growth potential.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

Modern Air/AMG Contractors is looking for an experienced and driven HVAC Service Manager to lead our service team in Austin, TX. This is your opportunity to take the helm of a growing operation, mentor skilled technicians, and deliver top-tier HVAC solutions to our valued customers. The manager would be required to carry and license the company with a minimum class B license. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily HVAC service operations, scheduling, and dispatch for residential and/or commercial accounts
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Conduct field inspections, quality control checks, and job site visits to ensure work meets company and industry standards
• Manage service department budgets, job costing, and profitability goals
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling escalations and ensuring timely issue resolution
• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain proper parts and equipment inventory
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and EPA/OSHA standards
• Support technician recruitment, training, and performance evaluations

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
• EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification a plus
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and/or commercial equipment
• Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and service workflows efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency with service management software and basic computer skills
• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving mindset with a commitment to safety and quality
• TDLR class B license
