Job summary

A leading mechanical contractor in the Midwest has an opening for a full-time HVAC Service Leader in Sioux Falls, SD. The ideal candidate will lead service technicians, prepare budgets, and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors. Job description

Tessier’s Inc., the Midwest’s premier mechanical contractor, has an opening for the full-time position of HVAC Service Leader in our Sioux Falls, SD location. The Service Leader will be involved in all aspects of the company’s HVAC service activities ranging from leading service technicians to estimating to maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. This position will report directly to the General Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
• Lead HVAC service department including technician schedules, training, and mentoring
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates as necessary
• Lead internal and external sales efforts for location

Education and Work Experience

• Two-year technical degree and five years of experience is required
• Two years of leadership experience is strongly preferred
• A background in the HVAC field is required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven HVAC industry knowledge
• Ability to lead multiple on-going initiatives
• Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, etc.
• Highly skilled in reading and understanding construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to prepare project estimates or proposals
• Proven track record of leading and developing a team
• Strong computer proficiencies in the Microsoft suite of products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
