Job summary

ARMSTRONG AIR & ELECTRIC in Florida seeks a Service Dispatcher who will assist the Service Manager in achieving department goals, coordinating resources and scheduling field work for efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory experience in a customer service HVACR environment.
• Ability to negotiate orders with suppliers for best price.
• Excellent oral and written communication across diverse groups.
• Basic HVACR knowledge to support on-site technicians.
• Knowledge of HVACR terms, costing, marketing and sales.
• Willingness for non-standard schedules and on-call duties.
• Ability to act as Service Manager in absence.
• Valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager in planning, organizing, and coordinating department resources and goals.
• Schedule service jobs considering complexity and technician availability.
• Train field technicians in customer service skills, non-technical procedures, sales and marketing techniques.
• Oversee accounts receivable related to open accounts and credit limits.
• Coordinate scheduling of the Parts Runner with the Installation Manager.
• Collaborate with all Department Managers to support Service Department goals.
• Help resolve customer complaints promptly and report incidents to the Service Manager.
• Work with suppliers on parts issues and report high-profile problems.
• Perform related staff-level duties as directed by the Service Manager.
