Legendary Home Services in Minnesota is seeking an HVAC Service Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in residential heating and cooling systems, focusing on seasonal tune-ups, preventive maintenance, and assisting with duct cleaning. You will train under experienced technicians and progress toward an HVAC Service Technician role.

About the Role: As an HVAC Service Apprentice, you will gain hands‑on experience in residential heating and cooling systems, with a focus on seasonal tune‑ups, preventative maintenance, and potentially assisting with duct cleaning services. Based on your experience and skills, you will be placed in one or two areas of service to begin your training and development. You will work alongside experienced technicians to build your technical knowledge, develop troubleshooting skills, and grow into a successful HVAC Service Technician.

Perform seasonal heating and cooling tune‑ups and preventative maintenance on residential HVAC systems under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Assist with routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of furnaces, air conditioners, and other HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Support duct cleaning services and other HVAC maintenance tasks as assigned.

Learn to identify potential equipment concerns and develop basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.

Assist experienced technicians with repairs, equipment inspections, and service‑related tasks as needed.

Follow company procedures, safety standards, and manufacturer guidelines while performing maintenance and service work.

Collaborate with team members to coordinate work schedules, prioritize service calls, and efficiently complete assignments.

Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner, explaining maintenance services performed and addressing basic questions.

Accurately document service activities, including equipment condition, maintenance performed, and recommendations for additional service.

Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to strengthen technical skills and prepare for advancement into an HVAC Service Technician role.

HVAC Service Technician Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Interest in pursuing a career in residential HVAC service and maintenance.

Previous HVAC education, training, or hands‑on experience preferred but not required.

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC systems, tools, and equipment.

Ability to follow instructions, learn new procedures, and apply feedback from experienced technicians.

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work independently as skills develop and effectively collaborate with team members.

Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions, confined spaces, and residential environments.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
