Duties

• Assist with on‑site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation
• Use technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems
• Work in a team‑based environment to share information, workload and ensure customer satisfaction
• Work safely every day and adhere to all safety measures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred (3.5 GPA, excellent attendance)
• 1+ year mechanical support role; some hands‑on HVAC experience preferred
• EPA Certification – Type I & II or Universal preferred
• NATE certification a plus
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Ability to climb ladders and moderate lifting (up to 90 lbs)
• Technical aptitude for maintenance, service, and troubleshooting
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
• Can work independently and self‑schedule
• Self‑motivated to finish tasks within time constraints
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Availability for occasional weekend and night work
• Willing to relocate after training and willing for local travel

Physical Requirements

• Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units
• Safely get oneself and tools onto rooftop via ladder
• Work at heights
• Load and unload tools from work van
• Lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally
• Lifting to shoulder/overhead up to 25 lbs occasionally
• Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs
• Climb ladder up to roof height
• Extend reach overhead repetitively
• Manual tandem lift up to 125 lbs

Compensation

Hourly non‑exempt role, salary range $33,000–$41,000 annually. Overtime available beyond 40 hours a week. Salary influenced by geography, tenure, performance, skills, education and experience.
