Job summary

Lennox National Account Services (NAS) is seeking an HVAC technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance, routine repairs, and calibration after installation across client sites. You will work in a team-based environment to ensure customer satisfaction and safety.

This hourly non-exempt role offers overtime, weekly payroll, company vehicle, PPE and uniforms, plus training and nationwide opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred, achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance.
• EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal preferred.
• NATE certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units, often independently.
• Maintain systems using technical abilities and perform troubleshooting.
• Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety measures and perform duties as assigned, with overtime/weekend flexibility.

Duties Include

• Assist with on‑site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
• Use technical abilities to maintain systems.
• Work in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Work safely on a daily basis and ensure all safety measures are taken at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends required.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• HVAC trade school graduate strongly preferred, achieving 3.5 GPA and excellent attendance
• 1+ years in mechanical support role, some hand‑on HVAC experience preferred
• EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal preferred
• NATE certification a plus
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
• Ability to climb ladders
• Moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds)
• Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Ability to complete repairs and required paperwork
• Ability to work independently and self‑schedule
• Self‑motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints
• Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision
• Availability for weekend and night work occasionally
• Must be willing to relocate to another part of the country once training is completed
• Local travel may be required

Physical Requirements

• Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial rooftop HVAC units, often independently
• Get themselves and necessary tools/equipment onto the rooftop – typically via fixed/extension ladder
• Work at heights
• Load and unload tools/equipment from work van
• Lifting occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Lifting to shoulder and overhead occasionally up to 25 lbs.
• Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
• Climb ladder up to roof height
• Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion
• Manual tandem lifting load up to 125 lbs

Compensation

This is an hourly non‑exempt role. The salary range for this position is $36,000 – $45,000 annually. Factors that may affect the starting salary include geography/market, tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Employees in this role are not eligible for a bonus but do earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
