Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a detail-oriented individual to partner with outside sales and create cost-effective repair proposals. The role involves maintaining vendor relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering accurate, timely estimates and submissions to operations.

You will manage work requests, maintain quote databases, and ensure information is properly loaded to Sharepoint for team access.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 2-4 years’ related experience, which may include commercial HVAC, estimating or parts/counter sales.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, Word and PDF.
• Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with outside sales to meet customer’s timely needs for quotes and submissions to operations.
• Understand the customer’s business needs to create competitive, accurate and timely estimates and proposals.
• Ensure the proposal encompasses the customer’s scope of service and seek internal technical advice as necessary.
• Maintain current work requests submitted by technicians, typically in an Excel spreadsheet.
• Utilize and maintain quoted work database and ensure integrity through accurate file management; load information to Sharepoint for viewing and collaboration.
• Ensure the Extra Work Authorization (EWA) is assigned to the correct Account Manager; gather information to develop quotes, including vendor costs; obtain internal approvals and send quote to customer; assist with job setup and dispatch information.
