Job summary

Texas AirSystems, based in Texas, offers an HVAC Sales/Project Engineer Internship for Summer 2027 in Houston. You will collaborate with the Sales Team to coordinate submittals, equipment selection, pricing and ship dates while building your engineering and customer service skills.

As an intern, you will support account managers, assist with proposals, value engineering, and design reviews, balancing technical needs with client expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor7s degree in engineering or related field required.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment preferred.
• Familiarity with MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting or construction industry is a plus.
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job files for each project.
• Optimize the project through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants and general, mechanical and electrical contractors.
• Organize project-related data for order entry.
• Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests.
• Read, understand and interpret building plans & specifications.
• Develop and grow relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.
• Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet all customer system design, installation and maintenance expectations.
• Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and co-workers as necessary to maximize customer satisfaction.
