Job summary

Texas AirSystems invites applications for its HVAC Sales Internship (Project Engineer) for Summer 2027. You will coordinate submittals, equipment selection, pricing, and ship dates for multiple projects, while maintaining strong customer service and organizational skills.

The role requires pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, familiarity with HVAC/MEP concepts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, estimating, engineering, construction management or contracting environment.
• Familiarity with MEP consulting, architecture, design, CAD, general contracting, mechanical contracting, or construction industry is a plus.
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain job files for each project throughout its duration.
• Optimize the project through product selection, specifications, plans, estimates, proposals, value engineering and redesigns.
• Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate with owners, architects, MEP consultants and contractors.
• Organize project data for order entry.
• Respond to and track IOM & Submittal requests.
• Read, understand and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Develop relationships with customers, contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.
• Determine project requirements, constraints, and sales team responsibilities to meet system design, installation and maintenance expectations.
• Investigate concerns, implement corrective action and communicate with customers and coworkers to maximize satisfaction.
