Job summary

Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced HVAC Residential Service Technician for our Belmont service team. You will diagnose problems, service and maintain residential heating and cooling systems, and enjoy a four–day workweek with on-call rotation and strong earning potential.

Qualified technicians have at least 18 months of residential HVAC experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of residential furnaces, air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• EPA Certification preferred but not required.
• Availability for limited rotating on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and residential comfort systems.
• Identify electrical, mechanical, airflow, and equipment performance issues.
• Complete maintenance, system inspections, and necessary service work.
• Clearly communicate system conditions and available solutions to homeowners.
• Help customers understand options without relying on high-pressure tactics.
• Maintain accurate digital documentation for completed calls.
• Follow established safety and workmanship standards.
• Keep your service vehicle and equipment organized.
• Provide a professional customer experience from arrival through completion.

Your Role

You’ll independently handle residential HVAC service appointments while helping homeowners maintain comfortable, reliable, and efficient heating and cooling systems.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and residential comfort systems
