Job summary

Carrier is seeking an experienced Rental HVAC Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of commercial HVAC systems in the field. You will manage field reports, operate equipment, and provide excellent customer service while promoting Carrier products.

The role requires 3+ years in HVAC and a Type 4 EPA certification, with the ability to travel up to 50% and lift up to 50 pounds. A valid driver’s license and forklift certification are needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must possess Type 4 - EPA Universal Certification.
• 3+ years hands-on HVAC experience with air/water-cooled systems, boilers, hydronics, pumps, air handlers, towers, heaters.
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain Forklift Certification.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Independently diagnose and repair HVAC equipment and components.
• Manage field reports, refrigerant tracking, and timekeeping logs.
• Operate power tools, hand tools, and other equipment to service rental systems.
• Load/unload trucks and operate forklifts when required.
• Communicate professionally with coworkers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Support inventory counts, cleaning, and general maintenance.
• Promote Carrier products and services to customers.
• Assist in orienting and training team members.
• Adhere to EHS protocols at all times.
• Start-ups and teardowns of equipment.
