Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a skilled Store Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC, refrigeration and ice machines in assigned Food Lion, Giant or affiliated stores.

You will complete work orders, enter data into Service Channel, respond to after-hours calls and help optimize energy efficiency by maintaining set points and minimizing refrigerant loss.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• EPA Certification (Universal).
• State Licensures, if required.
• 3+ years' experience in a related field.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned region in a company vehicle.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee the day-to-day maintenance and repair needs of HVAC, electrical, lighting, energy management, and hardware.
• Plan and generate work, obtain tools, and enter work orders in the system.
• Inspect stores and evaluate areas, suggesting improvements; troubleshoot refrigeration, AC, heating and related systems.
• Advise store managers and maintenance supervisors on repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and report unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks daily.
• Communicate status of building operations to stakeholders; report problems promptly.
• Update Control set-points for refrigeration systems and EMS controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls and wiring.
• Assist with timely and cost-effective repairs of building components and systems.
• Respond to after-hours and weekend emergency service calls.
