Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an ADUSA HVAC/R Technician Apprentice to learn preventive maintenance and repairs on store HVAC systems, ice machines and refrigeration equipment. You will work under a mentor, complete assigned work orders, and maintain service records in the maintenance system.

This role also involves on-call after-hours support and daily travel within the assigned region, with on-the-job training in commercial refrigeration, controls, and energy management in busy retail

Qualifications

• Knowledge of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• EPA Universal Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Assist an experienced technician or supervisor in completing assigned work orders and scheduled repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R and related equipment.
• Complete and maintain preventive maintenance checklists and related documentation.
• Provide timely work status updates to maintenance leadership, operational teams, and customers.
• Respond to service requests and participate in after-hours and weekend emergency calls.
• Order repair parts and materials needed to complete assigned work orders.
