Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets in Northeastern Pennsylvania is seeking a Refrigeration Equipment Technician to support the Maintenance Department. You will perform general store maintenance, work on HVAC and refrigeration projects, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in maintenance, can lift 75 lbs, is fluent in English, and is willing to travel. Gerrity's offers competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

2–3 years experience in Maintenance.
Able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
Experience with HVAC and Refrigeration.
Experience in Mechanical and equipment repair is a plus.
Fluent English-speaking and writing skills.
Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

Responsible for general store maintenance such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
Work on HVAC and Refrigeration projects for store needs.
Comfortable working with Microsoft Windows.
Comply fully with and enforce all safety policies and procedures
Attendance at your job is essential to the overall function of your department
Make effective and objective decisions regarding task priorities to maximize performance, productivity, and results
Use and maintain all equipment in good condition
Able to work on projects independently
Always operate equipment with all safeguards in place and in good operating condition; observe the safe method of performing all duties
Immediately advise Maintenance Supervisor of any maintenance or equipment problems
Be able to perform all duties and responsibilities in an efficient and satisfactory manner that meets the minimum standards for volume, productivity, accuracy, cleanliness, harmony, and safety established by the employer.
