The role involves diagnosing electrical/mechanical issues, reading blueprints, and performing preventive maintenance. Must have HVAC/R certification, EPA credentials, and proven field experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.

• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Respond to emergency repair calls when necessary.

Job Summary

HVAC/Refrigeration technicians are responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, heating and cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

Pay Range

$47 – $81/Hour

Duties / Responsibilities

• Install, service and repair refrigeration, heating and air conditioning systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using testing equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system efficiency.
• Handle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Replace faulty components such as compressors, motors and thermostats.
• Ensure all work meets safety codes and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Respond to emergency repair calls when necessary.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., on uneven terrain, climb a ladder and work in all weather conditions
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Education and Experience

• HVAC/R Certification required
• Proven experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Appropriate EPA certifications

FLSA Classification

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer in a standard office environment
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
