Job description

Position: HVAC Technician

Full Time, primarily Monday through Friday, with additional hours and weekends as needed.

1. Install all types of HVAC and refrigeration equipment safely and correctly.
2. Install electrical and control wiring as required.
3. Design and size HVAC&R systems appropriately.
4. Install and repair ductwork.
5. Troubleshoot, repair, or replace HVAC&R components as needed.
6. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
7. Conduct indoor air quality testing.
8. Follow safe working practices at all times.
9. Assist with snow removal.
10. Respond to after-hours emergencies as required, including carrying and responding to a departmental pager.
11. Complete clerical tasks related to the position, ensuring compliance with EPA regulations.
12. Assist with other maintenance tasks and duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or designee.

Qualifications (Education, Training, and Experience)

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an HVAC&R vocational or technical training program required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the HVAC&R trade preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
