Job Title: HVAC Refrigeration Technician

Department: Facilities

Reports To: Director of Mechanical Services

Summary

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and replacement of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and refrigeration systems. This role ensures that all related equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on kitchen equipment to ensure efficient operation for food service needs.
• HVAC and Refrigeration Systems: Repair, maintain, and install heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Appliance Maintenance: Repair, maintain, and install domestic appliances to ensure they operate efficiently.
• Inventory Management: Research vendors, order necessary equipment and supplies, and manage inventory to ensure availability of essential materials.
  
  

Other duties may be assigned.

Education And Experience

• Education: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Experience: Requires a journey-level skilled trade certification or license, with 5-10 years of relevant experience. Experience with residential and commercial HVAC systems, commercial kitchen equipment, and domestic appliance repair is required.
