We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in both commercial and industrial settings. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in ammonia refrigeration and a knack for problem-solving. You will be a vital part of our team, ensuring our critical systems run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Service and repair evaporative coolers, rooftop package units, self-contained refrigeration systems, etc.
• Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.
• Detect and repair leaks in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.
• Keep logs of work and report on issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician.
• Proven experience with refrigeration systems.
• Certificate or degree in HVAC, refrigeration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• EPA Universal Refrigeration certification.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to handle physical workload including lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be available for on-call emergency repairs.
