Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a Preliminary HVAC Vocational Technical Teacher License or able to meet licensure requirements.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Five years of full-time experience directly related to HVAC/R.
• Current Section 608 EPA universal certification.
• Passing score on Vocational Technical Literacy Skills Test or Literacy Test.
• Up-to-date knowledge of MA Sheet Metal and Refrigeration regs.
• Experience installing residential/commercial/industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Map curriculum to Massachusetts HVAC Frameworks.
• Provide instruction per MA HVAC Frameworks.
• Enforce OSHA safety regulations in career education settings.
• Instruct in shop, classroom, or field projects.
• Document student performance and progress.
• Develop resources to support student success.
• Accommodate IEPs and collaborate with special educators as needed.
• Collaborate with department and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Assist with advisory board activities and open houses.
• Maintain required documentation and responses to guardians.
