Job summary

Dakota Refrigeration Inc in North Dakota is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to perform service and installation tasks for industrial and commercial customers, under supervision as needed, ensuring efficient operation.

Responsibilities include on-site service, leading teams on major jobs, after-hours calls when required, and maintaining company vehicle and safety standards. Strong reading/writing, EPA refrigerant certification, and a valid state driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate; graduate of a post-high school HVAC/R institution of two or more years in duration.
• Three or more years of HVAC/R experience, preferably as a service or installation technician.
• Current refrigerant handling certification approved by the EPA.
• Current and valid State vehicle operator's license; ability to operate all company vehicles safely.
• Ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and read/write technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine HVAC/R service and installation activities with limited or no supervision on or off site.
• Lead or be a member of a team to address major HVAC/R service or installation jobs efficiently and profitably.
• Conducts non-service work in support of other company HVAC/R activities as assigned.
• Operates and maintains a company vehicle, following the Employee Handbook instructions.
• Responds to on-call (after-hours) duty when required.
• Diagnose and correct refrigeration, electrical, heating and air conditioning system problems.
