Job summary

The HVAC/R Technician role at RaceTrac supports the maintenance and repair across designated RaceTrac locations, focusing on HVAC, refrigeration, yogurt machines, ice makers, and beverage units. The home store is Baton Rouge area; candidates must be able to travel within the region and meet safety and performance standards.

Ideal candidates have EPA certification, 1+ year HVAC experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Universal EPA Certification required.
Minimum 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician; willingness to continue education.
2+ years work experience preferred.
Ability to read commercial wiring schematics.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
Ability to use power tools and hand tools.
Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions.
Ability to use ladders safely.
Good driving record.

Responsibilities

Resolve maintenance and service issues to ensure operability of SSC equipment.
Provide project support to cross-functional departments in SSC initiatives.
Respond to ad hoc maintenance requests from departments.
Report maintenance or repair needs via Service Channel and to Regional Service Manager.
Manage and prioritize work order requests.
Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify and repair deficiencies.
Conduct routine audits of all 3rd party services.
