Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking an Advanced Service Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing up to 15 RaceTrac and Raceway convenience stores in the United States. The role emphasizes resolving maintenance issues to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in HVACR, plumbing, and other maintenance functions, along with at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice/beverage equipment, and petroleum dispensing systems.
• Experience in a retail maintenance environment is a plus.

Company Overview

The Advanced Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of up to 15 RaceTrac and Raceway convenience stores in a designated region. The role involves assessing, developing protocol, and resolving maintenance issues to ensure each store remains operational at all times.

Responsibilities

• Resolve maintenance and service issues at RaceTrac and Raceway convenience store locations to maintain 24/7 operability and increase profitability.
• Ensure all jobs are performed with a high level of skill and optimal customer service.
• Serve as a knowledge expert in general maintenance functions, including HVACR, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, foodservice/beverage equipment, and petroleum dispensing systems.
• Maintain tools and inventory on a service vehicle accurately.
• Provide project support to cross‑functional departments for store‑related initiatives.
• Respond to additional ad‑hoc maintenance requests from store personnel as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of local and state guidelines for facility services.
• Collaborate with other Advanced Service Technicians to cross‑train in multiple trades.

Qualifications

• Food and beverage equipment repair knowledge (preferred).
• Fuel dispenser and pump repair knowledge (preferred).
• Technical school training in HVACR or electrical (preferred).
• 4+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).
• Type1 & Type2 EPA certification for refrigerants.
• Experience in a retail maintenance environment (a plus).
